Module · Working with subcontractors
Delegate intervals, coordinate applications on the marketplace and keep billing and planning per assignment in view. RSA21 is the shared basis for clean interfaces.
In traffic safety, general contractors (GC) and subcontractors (sub) work closely together – often across separate tools and manual lists. RSA21 bundles the collaboration: you delegate clearly defined intervals, the sub only plans “their” tasks, and both sides use the same audit-ready report world. Find new subs via the marketplace.
Billing models and monthly logic for subcontractors are tied to the respective assignment – separate from the terms of the overall project at the GC. How per-visit, per-day and flat-rate models, reports and exports work together is described on the Reporting page.
From the first partnership to the billed subcontractor service – the key building blocks at a glance.
Connect companies via partnership. Optionally present yourself in a partner profile – including service area and service profile.
Assign whole project intervals to a subcontractor. The sub’s planning and task view is limited to these intervals.
Publish tenders and collect applications from qualified partners – structured instead of scattered across inboxes.
Applications, approvals and delegations arrive centrally – GCs and subs keep the overview.
A project consists of several runtimes. If you delegate an interval, the sub works exclusively within that time window – planning, task list and metrics end at the same boundaries. Everything before and after stays in your GC view.
The illustration simplifies typical project intervals; the actual fields and permissions follow your organization and role.
Partnerships connect two organizations in RSA21. The subcontractor only sees projects and intervals assigned to them – including the tasks, shift planning and reports that belong to those time windows. Master data and unrelated project logic stay with the general contractor.
Operational exchange (applications, inbox) also runs within this closed chain – without a media gap over scattered email lists.
Build a partnership
GC and sub connect in RSA21 – the basis for delegations and secure data exchange.
Clarify capacity
Via profile, marketplace or a direct request you find the right sub and agree on scope, period and billing per assignment.
Delegate intervals
The sub receives planning rights and tasks only for the transferred intervals – the rest of the project stays with the GC.
Record, approve, bill
Reports and checklists are created as usual. In the subcontractor view, metrics and amounts only count for delegated intervals.
Per assignment you decide whether to work per visit, per calendar day or with a monthly flat rate. The analysis only covers tasks within the delegated intervals – unrelated project shares of the GC are not included.
Note for general contractors
The GC’s classic project billing remains unchanged. The subcontractor module adds its own clearly defined view – ideal for subcontractor agreements and internal controlling analyses.
What does a subcontractor need to do to respond to tenders?
Organizations activate the partner portal and maintain their service area and profile. Only then are marketplace matches and structured applications possible – without loose “mass emailing”.
Do general contractors and subcontractors need the same software?
Not necessarily – both work in RSA21 within their own organization. Through partnerships and delegations, subcontractors only see the projects and intervals assigned to them. This keeps the work separate while coordination stays digital.
What is the difference between project and interval delegation?
With interval delegation, planning, tasks and billing only apply to that interval. This keeps areas the GC handles without a subcontractor out of the sub’s metrics – less noise, clearer responsibility.
How are prices set for the subcontractor?
Price and billing type (e.g. per visit, per day or monthly flat rate) are agreed per subcontractor assignment. The analysis in the subcontractor view uses exactly these terms – not the GC’s terms on the overall project.
Is there a marketplace for capacity?
Yes. GCs can publish tenders; qualified partners and subcontractors can apply. The inbox bundles requests and replies so nothing is lost in email threads.
